Did you know that every Essence wedding contract entitles the couple to a FREE engagement session? Couples can choose their favorite location or use one of Essence's favorite shooting locations. The following pics are from Jennie and Ed's session on April 29. The day started on bright and sunny and by 3 pm (our shoot time) the threat of rain was in the air. Luckily we were able to get the whole shoot in and the moment we got in the car to drive away, it started to rain! How lucky was that!!!

The same day, directly following the Cleaver wedding, I was sent to cover the birthday party of Olivia Weaver. It was right down the street from the studio at Willow Tree Grove, a venue I've shot at many times. It was a Sesame Street themed party, complete with an adorable Sesame Street cake, Big Bird goodie bags, and a real-life Elmo! The kids loved Elmo's music and dancing and bag of tricks...Olivia seemed especially interested in the big red puppet. She was not interested, however, in smashing her cake! Despite all her best efforts, Michelle (Olivia's mother) could not get Olivia to dig in to the sweet frosted treat. She said Olivia doesn't like to be dirty! Haha...what a cutie-pie!

This past weekend was yet another beautiful day for a beautiful wedding! Although it was quite cold for a spring day, it was sunny skies without a cloud in sight. Kristina, the beautiful bride, wore her grandmother's wedding dress, which had also been worn by her aunt. It was a gorgeous cream color, flowing silk gown that fit her perfectly. And to go with the old-fashioned dress, the newly married couple rode from the church to the reception at the Holiday Inn in Fogelsville in an antique Plymouth! Antique cars always make for really fun pictures :)

It wouldn't be St. Patrick's Day unless Tommy Burke threw his annual bash!!! I have the great honor of photographing this event for the past four years and I look forward to it every year! Just seeing all the usual guests plus the new additions is always interesting. This year's addition was an amazing young lady who did Celtic dancing.
The weather was perfect, the food was great and i love seeing my good friends Diane, Elk, and Steve!!! Tommy and Gail, thanks so much for letting me capture such a great event! "Top of the morning to you!!!"

Saturday, February 12th was another beautiful wedding in Quakertown, PA. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, the day was appropriately filled with lots of love. It was also the first wedding day for our newest photographer, Marco Calderon. He quickly fit right into the team, with Jan and Shavon showing him the ropes. He was wonderful at capturing every moment of the day, with special attention to lighting and detail. Here are some of his beautiful images...

It was such a beautiful day to shoot a wedding! It turned out to be nice and sunny, which always make for wonderful natural lighting :) Heather and her bridesmaids were beautiful from the moment we walked in the house. The entire bridal party was fun and easy to photograph. We shot at the Revivals Restaurant and Banquets in Perkasie, a first for Essence Photography. It's always exciting to shoot at new venues! I was pleased to have the opportunity to shoot with Marco. I think he will quickly become an asset to the Essence Photography team. We all enjoyed every aspect of the wedding, and hope Heather and Josh will love the images we captured of their friends and family and the love they share. Congrats to them, along with a lifetime of love and happiness! Below are some of my images from the day :)
